Which audio formats give the best quality?

You may be wondering which formats, among many, ensure the best quality. Generally, compressed ones offer lower quality compared to non-compressed formats. Files with FLAC, WAV, or OGG formats would have much better quality compared to compressed formats like MP4, MP3, and more.

It is not advisable, though, to convert compressed files (i.e. MP3) into non-compressed formats (FLAC). This is because quality will always be better if the audio or video file’s original format is intact.
